School of Dirt provides mountain bike instruction for riders of all ages. The mission: Improve confidence, maximize performance and increase fun on the bike through a multifaceted approach. Class offerings include fundamental skills, advanced maneuvers, basic bike set-up, suspension tuning, routine maintenance, self-care for cyclists, sports psychology, intro to racing and more. Small group and private lessons available.
Diana Allen is a California native and lifelong bike rider. Her background in science, experience in education and passion for mountain biking were the driving forces behind the creation of the School of Dirt. Diana holds Master’s degrees in Biochemistry and Education from Johns Hopkins University. She is Professional Mountain Bike Instruction Association (PMBIA) certified. In addition to mountain bike coaching, Diana works as a bicycle mechanic at Patapsco Bicycles, is the Little Bellas Elkridge Chapter Program Lead and a Maryland Interscholastic Cycling League core staff member.
